Bin Access Management
Cleaner public spaces with fair and data-driven access control
Waste management today faces multiple challenges, from unauthorized usage and trash tourism to unfair payment systems, contaminated bins, and littered public spaces. Traditional physical locks offer no usage data, are prone to misuse, and often require electricity, adding to operational costs and complexity. These issues not only create inefficiencies but also prevent municipalities, housing providers, and businesses from meeting their sustainability and financial goals.
To address these challenges, our smart locking solutions provide a modern, flexible, and data-driven approach that ensures fair access, optimises operations, and supports cleaner, more sustainable environments.
Problems we solve
- Trash tourism leads to unauthorized disposal of waste in inappropriate locations.
- Non-payers continue to use waste disposal infrastructure without contributing to the system.
- Paying residents often face insufficient bin capacity due to unauthorized access.
- Physical access keys are vulnerable to misuse and fraud.
- Traditional physical locks provide no data on usage and cannot be effectively monitored.
- Payment systems in apartments or housing units often lack fairness and transparency.
- Public spaces are frequently left littered and dirty.
- Locking bins or other objects typically requires electricity, creating additional complications.
Key functionalities and benefits of our solution

Smart waste access control
The smart lock requires no electricity, as it is powered by easily replaceable batteries, and it does not alter the aesthetics of waste bins or their surroundings. It is compatible with a wide variety of bins or other objects, with a mounting kit provided for flexibility. Installation is straightforward and quick, and the lock can also be retrofitted into existing bins, ensuring a practical and adaptable solution.

BAM 4.0
BAM 4.0 offers the capability to be extended with external devices and can be paired with Sensoneo’s ultrasonic fill-level sensors without requiring a battery. It enables bins to be locked automatically once they reach a predefined capacity, providing both technological and financial benefits. The system also allows connection to a 230V electrical network, ensuring reliable integration and scalability.

Lockneo
The Lockneo portal provides a modern digital platform for managing access rights remotely and efficiently. It enables administrators to oversee access in real time, streamline key distribution through RFID technology, and reduce the risks linked to lost or misused credentials. With features such as detailed usage data, simplified user management, and the ability for users to self-report issues, Lockneo delivers increased security, transparency, and operational efficiency.
