Fill-level monitoring of more than 1500 containers in a historical town of Saudi Arabia

Deployment of more than 1500 fill-level monitoring sensors in a historical town Al-Ula in Saudi Arabia, is one of the biggest projects of Sensoneo in MENA region. A project was executed together with a local operative company CIT GROUP LIMITED. 

CIT is actively using waste monitoring sensors together with the software solution Smart Waste Management System since march 2022, mostly in 1100 litres containers with communal waste.

The operator installed all sensors on their own without any difficulty following an intensive online training course by Sensoneo and a two days visit by technicians from Sensoneo. Data transmission is ensured through Narrowband-Internet of Things (NB-IoT) thanks to the partnership between Sensoneo and company stc in Saudi Arabia.

Sensoneo Smart Sensors are designed, developed and produced inhouse (made in EU). The sensors are robust, water and shock resistant, fully functional within wide temperature range, and are set to measure from 3 cm up to 12 m.

The sensors can monitor any type of waste – including liquids – of bins of various types and sizes. The casing is made from recyclable polyimide optical fibers that provide not only an eco-design, but also help with recycling. Sensors have various mounting options, for example with help of screws, clench or rails. Wireless configuration works with Mobile App via BLE or Downlink.
